This was powerful.  It inspired me more than you know.  My prayer every day starts with, "Dear God, thank you for choosing me before I was even born ..." and goes from there.  You captured that beautifully.  God doesn't make junk.  I'm sure you've heard that saying.  I challenge you to never call yourself a loser, and to always be proud of where you are in life and who you are in life.  To not do that is like telling God He made a mistake, and He doesn't - doesn't - doesn't make mistakes.  He made you in His image.  You have great things ahead of you.  Great! 

November 30 ...ooops! December first, 2013 ...

Where did the time go?  It's 2013.  I'll be 74 next month.  I'm old.  I feel it.  So much has happened in my life that could make me sad, but I'll be damned if I will let it.  The fact that my family has no time for me, nor is interested in my welfare, or wasn't there when I needed them ... no, I'll be damned if I will let them take away my joy of waking every morning and doing the best I can with the day God has given me.  It's not always easy.  But I'm a survivor.  And stubborn.  Thanks, Mom, for giving me those gifts.  I know now that's how it was for you the last years of your life.  And if you can survive it and thrive and keep a smile on your face, well then, so can I.

I admit I don't know what I'm doing here, but let's see what happens.

Oh!  Here's the love of my life these days!  Roxie came into my life about  a year-and-a-half ago.  She's 12 now.  We're a couple of old ladies trying to make the most of the winter of our lives.

Where has the time gone?

I see this was started in 2009.  I think it started out as one of those "I'll show you mine if you will show me yours" type of thing.   Photos, that is.  A photo a day or something like that.  Needless to say it didn't get off the ground very far, but that's how it goes.  Now I'm back and I think this will just end up being a mish-mash of thoughts - mine.  No doubt a photo here and there  ... bits of wisdom from my 72 years on this earth and who-knows-what-else.  I'm not entirely sure how this process works yet, so bear with me as I test the waters.
